Gaea Operations GmbH — Complaints & Appeals Policy

Last updated: November 8, 2026

This policy explains how you can report content on Lockr.net, operated by Gaea Operations GmbH (“Gaea”, “we”, “our”, “us”), that you believe is illegal or violates our Terms of Service, how we review such reports, what the possible outcomes are, and how you can appeal a decision. It applies to every page of Lockr.net, including all individual locker pages, and to everyone — you do not need a Lockr account to make a complaint or to file an appeal.

Lockr is a link monetization platform: publishers create “lockers”, each consisting of a title and a destination link, and visitors unlock the destination by completing a step or through Lockr Premium. Lockr does not host the destination content itself. Nevertheless, we review complaints about both the locker page (its title and presentation) and the destination it leads to, and we act on both. Lockr is intended for persons aged 18 and over; publishers must be at least 18 years old, and adult, pornographic, or sexually explicit content is prohibited on Lockr under our Terms of Service.

2. Complaints Policy

2.1 What you can report

You can report any locker or destination that you believe is illegal or violates our Terms of Service, including but not limited to:

  • content that depicts or involves minors in any sexual or exploitative way, or any other content that endangers minors;
  • adult, pornographic, or sexually explicit content, which is prohibited on Lockr;
  • intimate or sexual imagery of a person shared without that person’s consent, or content that depicts you without your consent (see section 2.6);
  • content that infringes copyright, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights;
  • malware, phishing, scams, fraud, or otherwise deceptive or misleading lockers;
  • content that promotes violence, hatred, terrorism, human trafficking, or any other illegal activity;
  • any other content you consider illegal in your country or contrary to our Terms of Service.

2.2 How to submit a complaint

Send an email to [email protected] with the subject line “Complaint”. To allow us to review your complaint quickly, please include:

  • the address of the locker page(s) concerned (for example lockr.net/abc123) and, where relevant, the destination link;
  • a description of the problem and why you believe the content is illegal or violates our Terms of Service;
  • your name and an email address we can use to contact you and to inform you of the outcome;
  • for intellectual property complaints: a description of the work concerned and a statement that you are the rights holder or authorized to act on their behalf;
  • for complaints by a person depicted in content: a statement that you are the person depicted (or are authorized to act for them) and that you did not consent to the content being published.

You may also report content anonymously. In that case we review the report in the same way, but we will not be able to inform you of the outcome.

2.3 How we review complaints

Every complaint goes through the following steps:

  1. Receipt. We confirm receipt of your complaint by email to the address you provided.
  2. Interim measures. Where a complaint indicates a serious risk — in particular content involving minors, non-consensual intimate imagery, or an imminent threat to a person’s safety — we disable the locker concerned immediately, before the review is complete.
  3. Review. A member of our team reviews the locker page and the destination against applicable law and our Terms of Service. Where necessary, we may ask you or the publisher for additional information.
  4. Decision. We decide which of the measures described in section 2.5 applies.
  5. Notification. We inform you of the outcome of the review and the reasons for it. The publisher whose locker was concerned is informed of any measure taken against them and of their right to appeal under section 3.

2.4 Processing time

All complaints are reviewed and resolved within 5 business days of receipt. The outcome of every investigation or review is communicated to the complainant. Interim measures under section 2.3 are taken as soon as we become aware of the risk, which is usually well before the review is complete.

2.5 Possible outcomes

Depending on the result of the review, we take one or more of the following measures:

  • No action — the content does not violate applicable law or our Terms of Service. We explain this to you in our reply.
  • Required change — the publisher must change the locker (for example a misleading title) within a set period; otherwise the locker is disabled.
  • Removal of the locker — the locker page is disabled and the content is no longer accessible through Lockr.
  • Blocking of the destination — the destination link is blocked across the whole platform so that it cannot be used in any other locker.
  • Measures against the publisher — a warning, the suspension or termination of the publisher’s account, and the withholding of earnings connected with the violation as set out in our Terms of Service.
  • Referral to authorities — where we are required to do so by law, or where content indicates a serious crime, we report the matter to the competent law enforcement authorities.

2.6 Requests by persons depicted in content

If you are depicted in content that is made accessible through a locker or shown on a locker page, and you did not consent to its publication — or your consent is not valid under applicable law, for example because it was withdrawn or because you were a minor — you can request its removal through the same channel described in section 2.2. Such requests are treated with priority. If our review finds that consent was not given or is void under applicable law, the locker is removed and the destination is blocked. You do not need a Lockr account to make such a request, and the appeals process and the independent resolution of disagreements described in section 3 apply to these requests in full.

3. Appeals Policy

3.1 Who can appeal

You can appeal a decision taken under this policy if you are:

  • a complainant who disagrees with the outcome of their complaint;
  • a publisher whose locker was changed, disabled, or removed, or whose account was warned, suspended, or terminated;
  • a person depicted in content whose removal request was not granted.

3.2 How to appeal

Send an email to [email protected] with the subject line “Appeal”. Please refer to the original complaint or decision (for example by quoting our reply), explain why you believe the decision was wrong, and attach any information or documents that support your position.

3.3 How we review appeals

  1. We confirm receipt of your appeal by email.
  2. Your appeal is reviewed by a member of our team who was not involved in the original decision. The review takes into account the original complaint, the reasons for the decision, and everything you submit with your appeal.
  3. Appeals are reviewed and resolved within 5 business days of receipt. We inform you of the outcome and the reasons for it in writing.
  4. As a result of the appeal, the original decision may be upheld, modified, or reversed. Where a locker or account was disabled in error, it is restored.

3.4 Independent resolution of disagreements

If you disagree with the outcome of your appeal, you may request that the disagreement be resolved by a neutral, independent body. We participate in such a process in good faith, cooperate with the neutral body, and bear its costs. For users in the European Union this includes, where applicable, a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body. Nothing in this policy limits your right to bring the matter before the competent courts or supervisory authorities, and no decision taken under this policy is final in the sense of excluding such review.

4. Records and Confidentiality

We keep a record of every complaint, appeal, and decision, including the measures taken and the dates on which they were taken. We treat your identity and contact details confidentially and process them only to handle your complaint or appeal, in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We do not share your identity with the publisher concerned unless this is necessary to resolve the matter (for example in intellectual property disputes) or required by law.

5. Changes to this Policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect legal, technical, or operational changes. The latest version is always available at lockr.net/complaints-policy.
